How to Be Nominated by Feet First for
Transportation Improvement Board Funding

Feet First is proud to be a nominating agency for the 2018 TIB funding.
To be nominated, please provide the information below to us by Friday, October 12th. Email
submission is preferred, to info@feetfirst.org.

NOTE: Feet First knows that many communities in Washington may not meet
some of these criteria. Please use this opportunity to tell us about what
you are doing/have done, and what you would like to do if you receive TIB
funding through this process.

Feet First Nomination Questions

    1. Explain how your city/county Comprehensive Plan supports pedestrian
      friendly streets, with a particular focus on land use and walkability.
    2. Identify one or two projects that you have done in the past to support
      safe, accessible, and inviting places for people of all ages and abilities
      to walk.*
    3. Do you have an adopted pedestrian master plan or pedestrian/bike plan
      and do you have a pedestrian advisory group?
    4. Identify specific future project(s) that support walkability – this can
      be projects that are currently funded, or projects you might pursue if
      awarded TIB funds.
    5. How have your projects set priorities for walkable places in low income
      areas?
    6. What are your pedestrian safety-related policies and practices?
    7. Tell us about what type of pedestrian you would make your top priority
      with this funding, should you receive it. A parent or caregiver walking
      kid home from school? Employee walking to work? A pedestrian in a
      historically underserved neighborhood with poor infrastructure?
